Terms of use

This is a draft slappy document checked against the available implementation. It describes verified features and identifies unresolved matters. Production settings and actual operation require separate verification.

1. Who provides the service

slappy is provided by [OPERATOR_NAME], the service owner personally. Status: [OPERATOR_STATUS]. Country: [OPERATOR_COUNTRY]. Registration/tax details: [OPERATOR_REGISTRATION]; [OPERATOR_TAX_ID]. Address: [OPERATOR_POSTAL_ADDRESS]. Website: [SITE_DOMAIN]. Support: [SUPPORT_EMAIL]. Unfilled fields do not establish registration as a sole proprietor or company.

Service territories: [SERVICE_TERRITORIES]. Minimum age: [MINIMUM_AGE]. Rules for minors: [CHILDREN_RULES]. Until determined, these provisions remain a proposal, not an operational age-verification system.

2. Features and access

The service helps create videos: write scripts and content with AI, work with HTML/JSON modes, search for materials, generate speech, use music, assemble and download MP4 files. Features depend on the mode, permissions, configuration and availability of external services. Not every template performs search, narration or transcription.

Provide accurate account information, protect your password and do not share access with unauthorised people. Email verification and an invitation may be required by configuration. Quotas and abuse checks can stop a request. Do not use other people's accounts or bypass checks or limits.

The draft documents are available for review. This implementation does not record acceptance of a specific legal version during registration; a link to a draft must not be presented as proof of agreement to future terms.

3. Your content and permission to process

You retain the rights you already hold in uploaded materials. To operate the service, you grant the operator a limited, non-exclusive permission to store, copy, technically transform, send to necessary providers and display your materials to the extent needed to fulfil your requests and chosen publication. This does not transfer ownership or permit advertising use without a separate basis.

Upload only materials for which you have the necessary rights and permissions. This includes text, HTML, photos, music, fonts, voices, people's likenesses and personal data. Do not include API keys, passwords, special-category data or other people's confidential information without a lawful basis and necessity.

For a mode in the shared catalogue, other users receive access to the published template and included resources within the service. Publish only what you may share. Older versions, projects and copies may remain; unpublishing and reversible archiving do not revoke files already exported.

The precise boundaries of permission for uploads — purposes, scope, duration, territory and necessary recipient rights — remain to be agreed: [UPLOAD_LICENSE_SCOPE]. Termination and any surviving permissions for published versions, copies and legally required retention: [UPLOAD_LICENSE_TERMINATION]. Removing a file from the interface must not be presented as ending all rights or destroying all copies without verification.

Selling user content/data and training or evaluating the operator's own models require separate decisions: [CONTENT_SALE_POLICY]; [OWN_MODEL_TRAINING_POLICY]. Technical permission to process an upload for your task does not itself permit these additional purposes.

4. AI, third-party materials and licences

AI can make mistakes, produce similar results for different users and suggest unsuitable text or images. Check facts, safety and rights before publication. The service does not guarantee uniqueness, copyright eligibility or freedom from third-party rights.

Rights in an output depend on your source-material rights, applicable law and provider terms. Generation, a paid plan or an MP4 download does not grant unconditional permission for every commercial use.

Search images, Pexels materials, Jamendo music, icons from different Iconify collections, fonts and voices may have separate licences and attribution requirements. A discovered Jamendo track is not automatically commercially licensed. For ElevenLabs, the actual plan and generation terms matter. Check permitted uses for each resource; the service does not replace that review.

AI-output rights the operator can grant to the user, their limits and the relevant provider conditions: [AI_OUTPUT_RIGHTS]. This is not a promise of exclusive ownership of every result and does not override source-material rights.

5. Templates, export and finished videos

Licence to use templates and modes within the service: [TEMPLATE_LICENSE]. Permission to download, modify and use source HTML/JSON outside the service: [TEMPLATE_EXPORT_LICENSE]. Technical ability to view a preview or export a file does not itself determine the legal licence.

Rights and conditions for publishing/distributing finished videos: [FINISHED_VIDEO_LICENSE]. These must be distinguished from rights in the source template, its resale and standalone distribution of included materials. Standalone resale or redistribution of templates, source files and assets: [STANDALONE_RESALE_RULES]. This draft neither permits nor prohibits those actions without chosen terms; third-party creators' rights remain.

6. Acceptable use and reports

Do not use the service for illegal content, copyright or privacy violations, fraud, threats, child exploitation, deceptive impersonation or malware distribution. Attempts to access others' data or bypass HTML isolation, upload restrictions, authentication or future payment mechanisms are prohibited.

Report violations or mistaken restrictions to [ABUSE_EMAIL] once that contact is configured. Include the material identifier, the problem and grounds for your report; do not send unnecessary sensitive data. Access restrictions and content actions must account for applicable law and opportunities to challenge them.

7. Plans, quotas and future payments

The reviewed version has Free/Creator/Pro plans, generation usage tracking and administrative quota overrides, but no operational checkout, automatic charging, paid-subscription cancellation or payment webhooks. Displayed prices are preview plans. A subscription_status value is not itself proof of payment.

Actual sales and earlier purchases outside this code must be confirmed: [BILLING_STATUS]. We do not claim every user is in a free beta or that no past payments exist. Paddle is a possible future integration but is not connected in the reviewed version.

Before payments are enabled, the actual seller [SELLER_DETAILS], full offer [PAID_OFFER] and cancellation procedure [CANCELLATION_PROCESS] must be disclosed. These fields do not start sales or create automatic renewal. Refunds are addressed on a separate page; mandatory consumer rights remain.

A generation quota tracks service use; it is not a cash balance. Failed generation, job cancellation and retry follow the project lifecycle; not every retry click or project deletion restores usage. Quota review and correction rules: [CREDIT_CORRECTIONS].

Before payments launch, the actual payment data flow must also be disclosed: [PAYMENT_DATA_FLOW]. Seller details, card details, purchase information, a receipt and transaction status may be handled by different parties; they must not be treated as interchangeable.

8. Availability, closure and liability

Generation depends on external APIs, search, queues and rendering. Errors, delays and outages are possible; no fixed completion time is promised. Keep your own copies of needed exports. This does not remove data-protection duties or remedies available by law.

Notice, access and export arrangements when the service ends, an account closes or access is restricted: [ACCESS_AFTER_CLOSURE]. Retention and deletion are addressed in the privacy policy; unpublishing a mode is not complete account deletion.

Permissible liability limits and remedies: [LIABILITY_RULES]. Until resolved, this draft does not set a monetary liability cap, foreign arbitration clause or blanket warranty exclusion. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

The effect of a monetary refund on access and materials is addressed separately: [ACCESS_AFTER_REFUND]. Rules for quotas or credits after a refund: [CREDITS_AFTER_REFUND]. These must not automatically be equated with general account-closure or generation-cancellation rules.

9. Law, disputes and versions

Governing law: [GOVERNING_LAW]. Enquiries and dispute resolution: [DISPUTE_PROCESS]. A choice of law must not deprive consumers of mandatory protections provided by applicable law.

Material changes require clear notice and, where necessary, separate acceptance before they apply. Dates and version in the header remain placeholders until approval. Rule for the relationship between language versions: [LANGUAGE_RULE].
